POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Manager is responsible for keeping the greenhouse fully operational; ensuring uninterrupted production while maintaining a high level of safety throughout the facility. This is a management position that will oversee a team of senior facilities associates and facilities associates accomplish this task. The Facilities Manager will report to the General Manager on current greenhouse facility status, planned capital improvements, maintenance plan management, and facility optimization.


  • Demonstrate a comprehensive level of working knowledge of all facility equipment including water technical, electrical, mechanical and general greenhouse systems.  
  • Supervise and perform all required duties to keep the facility operational and production capacity at 100%
  • Creation, oversight and refinement of the maintenance plan and CMMS platform
  • Project management and organization of any capital improvement projects
  • Oversight, management and scheduling of any contract or or outside labor
  • Manage and assist in the training of Senior associates and associates to perform tasks necessary to the daily maintenance operation
  • Aid in the creation, tracking, and refinement of facility KPI’s to ensure a high standard of operation for the department
  • Diagnose, repair, and report on all issues impacting the facility or production capacity
  • Project and control departmental budget by reducing cost and driving efficiencies
  • Oversee plan to keep facility compliant with current food safety certification standards
  • Effectively manage departmental and general greenhouse inventory to ensure facility remains 100% operational 
  • Continued refinement of current facility processes and equipment to maximize efficiencies
  • Uphold the standards of Vertical Harvest, Inc .
  • Communicate with GM on regular basis and as necessary as issues arise
